The year 2019 saw the visit of international artistes some who were in Africa for the first time for the festive season on the back of the ‘Year of Return’.
International acts some of whom performed at events, including Boris Kodjoe, Hisham Tawfiq, Rick Ross, T.I, Cardi B, Michael Blackson, Kranium, Koffee, Akon and a lot of others.
After the festivities, Nana Addo then launched ‘Beyond the Return’.
Adding his voice to the growing argument on ‘after the return, what next?, John Dumelo took to twitter to suggest that tourist sites need touches and additional scenes to attract more visitors.
“Ok so we are done with year of return, lots of people come, went to Capecoast Castle, Elmina and Kakum etc. The question is, what will make them come back again this year? We need to re-invent tourism in Ghana. We need to add more and develop new sites to make “them” come back,” he tweeted
