For some time now, Wendy Shay has been calling for action on social media with a particular expression that has kept people wondering.
Some assumed it was the title of a new song she was promoting but when she made appearance Citi TV’s Saturday Live with Nana Adwoa Sarkodie and Nana Tuffuor Boateng, she explained her #GhWakeUp mantra is no song title.
“Well, what I’m trying to do is to bring awareness of some things. Maybe some people might not know let’s say about the FDA. Not everybody knows that there is a law that says celebrities are not allowed to advertise alcohol so, when I say Ghana Wake up, somebody is gonna read and say oh wow I didn’t know about this then you know I have to maybe sit up or stand up or do something.
“Basically, when I say Ghana wake up, I mean yo Ghana listen to me. Maybe this could be an issue that we tackle,” she explained.
