African music keeps growing and reaching more audiences. However, the average African musician earns less than their counterparts in other parts of the world.
This is due to a lot of factors, key among them is aggregation, distribution, and monetization.
Mr. Eazi says Africa must be in control of music content monetization.
In a tweet, he said “We need to own our platforms! The platforms that aggregate, showcase, distribute, and collect Revenue!!!! It is a Must!!!”
