Ghanaian artiste, Kurl Songx has disclosed that the ‘Dwe’ song by Mr Drew and Krymi is originally his.

According to the ‘Trumpet’ singer, his former label boss, Kaywa took his voice out of the song and gave it to the two signees on his label.

He said this when made an appearance on Hitz FM.

While he was talking about his relationship with Kaywa after leaving the Highly Spiritual label, made mention of how his right has been infringed upon.

“…and I get to see that my voice has been taken out without my permission and then even before the song will be released it’s somebody who actually played the song for me to hear,” he explained

He noted that Kaywa produced the beat and asked him to record the song on it and after persuading him for some time, he finally got motivated and wrote the song and recorded. He also said the song was sent to dancehall act, Shatta Wale to work with him.

But after everything, the song was rather given to the two acts without his permission or prior notice. Although he’s hurt, he does not sound like he wants legal redress.

When Andy asked him if he meant to say the song is his, he replied, “It’s my song. You can call Kaywa and ask. It’s my song.”

To reiterate he is the original owner, he made reference to some of the lines in the song to solidify his claim and even questioned how/where Drew knew Diana Asamoah to put in his lyrics. “shegey… adey look for my bebe…if you see my baby…” are some of the words he mentioned are all written by him.

“I actually wrote the song…It’s not like I believe. I know,” he reiterated and sarcastically added that he is sure his voice will still be in there somewhere.

Kaywa is yet to confirm or deny the claim.
