Contrary to the perception that Citi FM’s Jessica Opare-Saforo is not proficient in the Twi language, she says she actually got Grade A in the language.
Speaking to Dziffa Akua Ametam on Citi TV’s Breakfast Daily, she said a lot of people mistake her command over the English language for her inability to speak Twi.
According to her, she scored Grade A in Akuapem Twi while in secondary school.
Jessica was not introduced to the Twi language during the early days of her formative years because she was on transfers with her family in countries like Somalia, Kenya, Senegal.
In these countries, the schools she attended only taught English and French.
“I learnt Twi when we came back to Ghana. I am proud to say I had an A in Akuapem Twi,” she noted.

Jessica has been the in radio industry for 20 years, and has worked with Citi FM for 15 years.
She is the Programmes Manager for Citi FM and Citi TV.
She hosts Traffic Avenue on Citi FM and Sister Sister on Citi TV/Citi FM.
