It’s just a few days to valentine’s day, a day lovers appreciate each other, social media has already been buzzing.
Every year, this is the time people get to find out they were dating themselves all the while they thought they had a relationship.
It is also a day others get to know their secret admirers, meet their crushes off the internet.
Some othrs also find love on this day.
In fact, so many love related stories happen on February 14 in the streets of social media.
It is also a day that becomes beautifully celebrated when there is money… “when money enter love is sweeter” – says Nigerian artiste, Davido.
While some are saving towards the day and others planning on how to make the day a memorable one, it’s not same for a section of people.
To be on the safer side however, people will come up with all sorts of excuses to escape this day. If they had their way, they’d cancel the date on the calendar but since that is not possible, they employee Shakespearean skills, come up with smooth lines to either break up before the day, on the day or just act offended; anything to save face- “if you no ge money, hide your face” (Davido said that too).
As the day draws near, tweeps are rehearsing their excuses.
