Ghanaian hip pop musician, Samuel Adu Frimpong is popularly known as Medikal has said that he still sees himself as an underground artiste.
Speaking to Nana Tuffour Boateng on Citi TV’s ‘Saturday Live’ after a refreshing live band performance, the Sowutoum boy said he is still an underground act who yearns to be on top.
“I just try to entertain people, I wanna make people happy. That’s the aim, that’s the main thing. If people listen to me and then they love what I’m doing, I’m pretty sure they love my style and I’m gonna keep doing the same thing and keep improving because I keep learning. I’m still an underground artiste, I wanna get to the top,” he added.
Medikal recently has been in the news after it emerged that he had broken up with his girlfriend, Fella Makafui.
This move, many entertainment pundits and Ghanaians believe was a publicity stunt for his new single titled ‘Comeback’ which features Lynx Entertainment signee Kidi.
Medikal is known for hit songs like ‘anthem’, ‘Ayekoo’, ‘Omo Ada’, ‘Father’, ‘Drip’ and ‘Astalavista’.
