Former X factor contestant, Gifty Louise Agyeman has donated to Dzorwulu Special School to celebrate her birthday.
The 24-year-old presented items which included food and toiletries.
She used the opportunity to tell her story of how she lived in foster care back in London.
“At 16 I went through a stage in my life when I lived in the foster care system back in London so I have a sense of what these kids are going through in terms of not really having around and feeling alone and odd. I have always wanted to come back to Ghana and help out as best as I could, I know it’s not a lot but it’s a start,” she told the managers of the facility.
In reaction to her kind gesture, he director of the facility lauded her and urged that others emulate the act and give back to the society that contributed to they becoming ‘stars’.
Gifty who emerged 6th at the 2016 X factor reality show held in the UK returned to Ghana to pursue her music career.
She is set to release her debut single soon.
