Ghanaian artiste, Ogidi Brown has petitioned the president of Ghana, Nana Addo to reward him before he dies.
According to the artiste, Ghana Music Industry has not recognized his works since he started commercial music in 2016.
He, therefore, pleads that his efforts are appreciated before he passes away.
This request was made in a social media post that looks like a death wish.
The ‘One Chance’ singer shared a picture of himself in which he has a mask covering his nose and mouth and peripheral venous catheter connected to both arms. From the setting, it looks as if he was in the hospital and from his post, he has been on admission in the hospital for eight days.
“Mr President, Nana Akufo Addo @nakufoaddo this is Ogidibrown, a Ghanaian hiplife/highlife musician. Am the only physically challenged artiste in a wheelchair trying to build the hope of others to know disability is not an excuse, Mr President my problem is Ghana music authorities are cheating me too much, I started doing music commercially from 2016 and I’ve invested a lot in music, but I haven’t been nominated before, please I want you to reward me before I die, thank you, Mr President, thank you Ghana” he stated in the post.
He also asked that Ghanaians post his pictures and celebrate him now that he is alive.
Ogidi Brown was involved in an accident somewhere 2015 when he was on his way to pick up an elder of Church of Pentecost at Bologna in Italy to the church’s premises. His spinal cord was affected and now he has to move around in a wheelchair.
That has not stopped him from doing music. He is the CEO of OGB Music on which he signed Fameye and Cryme Officer who was signed in December 2019 in a dramatic ceremony- with eggs and Schnapp.
