Actress and movie producer, Yvonne Nelson has dared actors who have ever worked with her to come out and say if she has ever not paid them.
According to her, she has worked with a lot of directors for free just to support them but she has never owed any actor who has worked with her.
Speaking on Citi FM’s Traffic Avenue about the state of the industry and the issue of producers not paying, she told the host: “There are directors I’ve shot like five to ten movies for them for free because I just ask myself how much are they going to pay me that I’ll be happy with? So let me just do it. I shoot movies for my colleagues for free and that’s like me supporting you.
“But me I pay” she added.
When Jessica asked her if that meant she owes no one, she replied “no. I dare whoever is watching (referring to the audience on Facebook Live)…I cannot take advantage of anyone. ‘Heels and Sneakers’, my cast members most of them were like they hadn’t even acted before. I’ll organize auditions and get these guys from my audition and like ninety per cent of the cast were all new and I paid everyone.”
