In the wake of Ghanaian alcoholic company Adonko Bitters signing some Nigerian artistes as ambassadors for the brand, Ghanaian celebrities have been reacting.
One of the celebrities who have complained is Edem.
The rapper took to Twitter Thursday morning to note that FDA is not enforcing the law against minors engaging in alcoholism which is what reason they gave to ban Ghana celebrities from advertising alcoholic beverages.
He further suggested that since the celebrity has got the power to make an influence on the minor to start using alcohol, that same influential celebrity could ensure that it is done responsibly.
Alcoholic is for 18 and above…That one u no go enforce am….🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

“If personalities have the ability to influence people to drink…Don’t you also think they have the power to tell them to do it responsibly?” he quizzed.
In another tweet, he said: “All the plenty festivals that young people attend. You actually don’t stop the multimillion-dollar companies who go there to sell to any of them…Smh”.
