Afia Schwarzenegger has refuted claims that former president Mahama bought her a car.
According to her, the S6 which was rumoured to have been given to her by John Mahama, she bought for herself as a birthday gift from money she made from being employed to work with the Despite Media.
“I bought the S6 for myself as a birthday gift, 2016 with the money Osei Kwame Despite gave me a poaching fee. I’m saying this son record. I heard a whole of Tom, Dick and Harry saying it was bought by John Mahama…I am not John Mahama’s Defence minister for him to buy me a car,” she said while talking to Joselyn Dumas on her ‘Real Talk’ show.
The mention of the car became necessary when she was explaining how her ex-husband, Lawrence Abrokwa used to abuse her and associated driving the car out with infidelity.
“The money was given to me by Osei Kwame Despite to move from Kasapa to Okay FM. As at that time Kasapa has given me Jaguar SF and so I told Despite if you want me to leave this car, you’ll buy me a car of the same level and so he gave me money to buy the car. I bought the car for myself on my birthday,” she reiterated.
