Media personality, Afia Schwarzenegger has been making revelations on her failed marriage in a recent interview with Joselyn Dumas on the Keeping It Real show.
She narrated how Abrokwa constantly abused and disrespected her but she endured not wanting society to judge her.
According to her, it got to the point she thought about killing her ex-husband and herself to put an end to the torture she was subjected to.
“I wanted to kill that guy and kill myself. I told my mother and called his brother and told him if you people want to force us especially me into this suicide you call marriage then I will poison your brother to die and poison myself too,” she said
“I’ll not go to jail for killing him and I won’t also kill myself for him to live to claim ownership of my properties. That is how frustrated I was. If I had not taken that bold decision of walking out of the marriage, I would have been dead,” she added.
Afia and Lawrence got married in 2016 after they met for the first time in South Africa after she had about eight surgeries for kidney stone and fibroadenoma and needed a caregiver as a result of being bedridden.
However he became aggressive and abused her for the whole 6 months they were married, she revealed.
The marriage finally ended in court and Afia was granted a divorce in January last year after about dragging it for a year.
