Media Personality, Afia Schwarzenegger has written an open letter to her ex-husband, Lawrence Abrokwa after sharing her journey to meeting through to marrying and emotional and physical abuse she was subjected to until they got divorced.
From what she disclosed to Joselyn Dumas on the ‘Keeping It Real’ show, she met him in South Africa after a series of surgeries.
After about eight surgeries, she was bedridden and needed care to even ease herself or take her drugs and Abrokwa was one of the people who came for the interview hoping to be her caregiver.
She agreed with her brother to move in with Abrokmwa for better care and full attention and through that, he got in touch with her mother and pushed to marry Afia.
According to Afia, the mother used emotional blackmail to get her to agree to marry Abrokwa.
The two tied the Knot on October 22, 2016, in a church at Florida Lake in Johannesburg.
However, the marriage lasted for months and a video that showed Afia was in bed with a man who was not Abrokwa hit the internet.
The video, her ex-husband agreed to film but denied leaking to the internet.
Afia was granted a divorce in January this year after dragging it in court and for almost a year.
The whole brouhaha was laid to rest until her recent interview with Joselyn was uploaded to Youtube.
It seems the interview did not fully address her concerns.
In an Instagram post on Monday, she poured addressed an open letter to Lawrence Abrokwa noting that her birthday gift to her mother is to forgive him.
She also used the opportunity to wish him well on a court case she claims he is involved in.
