Clearly, it is the time for Celestine Donkor, who is getting all the attention for her remarkable outing for her hit song, ‘Agbebolo’.
The gospel minstrel is on the roll, having garnered multiple nominations in two of the leading music awards in the country, 3Music Awards, and the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
She leads the front for the gospel fraternity with 5 nominations in the 21st edition of the VGMA – Most Popular Song, Best Gospel Song, Best Gospel Artiste, Female Vocalist, and Best Video.
Although she missed out on the Best Collaboration category, the widespread expectation is that she would walk home with multiple awards.
Interestingly, Celestine also attained 5 nominations at the 3rd edition of the 3Music Awards – Female Vocal Performance, Gospel Act, Female Act, and Best Collaboration of the Year.
With the stellar showing of ‘Agbebolo’ during the eligibility year, she is expected to once again, walk away with multiple plaques at the 3Music Awards.
Celestine also won the Best Gospel Act in the recently held National Gospel Music Awards.
3Music Awards is scheduled for March 28, 2020, and VGMA, May 2, 2020, respectively.
