Award-winning actor, Idris Elba has tested positive for the novel COVID -19.
The actor who thought it a necessity to self-check after he has been in contact with a patient despite showing no symptoms got the results today 16th March 2020 and he is positive.
He took to Twitter to share a video with fans and ask that people show more love and support for one another at this crucial moment.
The ‘Beast of No Nation’ actor added that the news of the coronavirus is “real”.
He has, however, isolated himself since finding out and advised that people take precautionary measures seriously to stay safe.
“This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing 👊🏾👊🏾 No panic.” he captioned the video.
