Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has said she cannot believe Ghana is back to sleeping in the dark and heat at night after all her efforts to put an end to it.
In 2015, Yvonne Nelson started a trend on twitter with a hashtag: #DumsorMustStop which she explained was just a random act out of the frustration she was going through at night as a result of a power outage.
But the unplanned tweet got a great response from her followers who also used the same hashtag to share their experiences and soon it was trending all over social media.
And what started out as just a tweet was taken off social media into the streets.
The actress called on her celebrity colleagues wrote to the police and the vigil was held on the streets of Accra after the police granted them permission.
The walk led by Yvonne was a peaceful one held in May 2015, made up of celebrities and anybody who was affected by the constant power outages.
The vigil was said to have favoured the NPP at the time they were in opposition but as they are in power now, history is repeating itself.
Seeing that the problem persists despite all her efforts, Yvonne has been complaining on twitter for quite some time now.
Last year. she threatened to hit the streets again if the power issues continued but the vigil did not happen.
