Ghanian actor and politician, John Dumelo has donated items to five police stations in the Ayawaso West constituency to protect themselves against the coronavirus pandemic.
The items which included veronica buckets to aid in washing hands under running water, hand sanitizers, hand gloves and detergents he said is to help the police protect themselves while in the line of protecting citizens and providing safety.
John Dumelo shared pictures from the donation to his twitter page and captioned it: “All 5 police stations across the Ayawaso West constituency today received Veronica buckets, hand sanitizers, detergents and hand gloves to help them stay protected against the Corona Virus since they come in contact with people every day. We need to protect those who protect us.”

He is running against Lydia Seyram Alhassan for the Ayawaso West Wuogon primaries on the ticket of the Nationa Democratic Congress (NDC).
Yesterday, the Ghana Health Service announced a new case of a 35-year-old male who tested positive for the covid-19 after returning to Accra from France in the last 14 days.
This raises the number of recorded cases in Ghana to a total of seven since the first two cases were announced on the 12th March.
