Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has said per the president’s directive, he is thinking of self-quarantining himself to keep his family safe when he returns home.
He explains he has taken all the necessary precautionary measures, washing his hands regularly, staying indoors and covering his face with mask ever since he stepped foot in America weeks ago.
Speaking to Da Don on Joy FM’s Cruise Control show, the ‘Sobolo’ singer disclosed that he is preparing to come back to Ghana since his shows have been postponed due to the pandemic adding that “the corona is everywhere now so where are you running to? It’s everywhere so we all have to take precautions.”
According to him, his decision to self-quarantine is in adherence to the president’s directives and to also protect his family and not that he is sick.
“But rest assured I believe that I don’t have it,” he said.
He added that self quarantining at home might be a bad idea since his children will not respect the ‘safe distance’ precautionary measure.
“It will be like a vacation for me… I’ll go to the countryside …for like two weeks…It’s good to take precautions just to make sure everybody is safe” he noted.
Ghana has recorded seven cases of the Covid-19 so far and as part of keeping safe to prevent the spread of the disease, the information minister gave travel advisories at a press briefing, stating “All travels to Ghana is at this stage strongly discouraged until further notice. Any traveller, except for Ghanaian citizens, who has been to a country that has recorded at least 200 cases of COVID-19 will not be allowed into the Ghanaian jurisdiction. Airlines are instructed to not allow such persons into the jurisdiction,”
He, however, added that anyone who is allowed into the country despite the number of covid-19 cases will have to self-quarantine for 14 days.
