The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) put a ban on celebrities endorsing alcoholic beverages to prevent alcoholism in minors and it has since been a discussion with most celebrities not in agreement.
Some have described alcohol endorsements and advertisement ban as a means the FDA is using to deprive them of their sources of income.
Also joining the conversation is actress Gloria Osei Sarfo who says it is not fair to take from people their sources of livelihood but she will never endorse any alcoholic beverage.
Speaking on Pundits on GHOne TV recently, she said “I think it is not fair that we take the source of livelihood from people. Though for me I will never be an ambassador for any drink like that, I think people should be allowed to just be.”
She, however, added that although she would not be an ambassador for any alcoholic beverage, others who rely on that for their daily meal should be considered.
“If not for anything at all, there should be some consideration for people who have that as a source of income,” she stated.
