Covid-19 cases in Ghana has increased to a total number of 16 as at this morning since the first two cases were recorded on the 12th March 2020.
Out of the 16 cases recorded so far, about three are said to be community spread.
After the health ministry updated their site with the number, it generated concerns about institutions who are not adhering to social distance as one of the precautionary measures in fighting the spread.
One of such people is dancehall artiste, Samini who believes Ghana should move from the old way of doing things and take advantage of IT.
He has taken to twitter to put across his concerns in a series of tweets complaining about why National Identification Authority is still registering the public for Ghana card in the Eastern Region of Ghana at the expense of the health of the citizens.
In one of the tweets, he said: “16 cases and counting Ghana.some naive Ghanaians are still in queue to register to vote in December when the situation at hand demands that we stop all gatherings. How? The one you are going to vote for is at home with of sanitizers and tissue paper Roll of paper being safe”

He added that whatever the cards are meant for does not justify what the NIA is doing to the people of the Eastern Region.
“Whatever the registration is meant for the moral here is “go home “ chale ..aaaaahhhh. Ghana card s3 s3ng ? So if deadline is over we are no more Ghanaians?
Show me #Ghanacard office and I’ll go there later when the coast is clear. Don’t give me ultimatums and timelines chale”
