Rufftown Records signee, Wendy Shay, has cancelled her intended new song Akokora Gangster due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The ‘Kut It’ singer took to social media to announce this new development.
Before she announced the postponement of the song, she shared the artwork of the intended new single on her Instagram page.
From the response on the post on 18th March 2020, almost all the comments were positive with a minute comment on the covid-19.
The larger voice expressed their anticipation and showed support but she again shared the artwork on the 19th March 2020, to say she is a listening artiste and that her fans advised her in the comments section to hold on till after the pandemic blows over.
Wendy who described herself as hotter than the pandemic captioned the post from the 19th March 2020: “I’m an artiste who listens a lot my fans. After posting the artwork yesterday, many of you were saying almost the same thing and I think you are right ..so my team and I have decided to postpone the release date of my Hit song due to the pandemic. Corona Virus is real so let’s all come together as one and prevent the spread of this deadly virus”
