Grammy winning artiste, Cardi B has said she feels celebrities are paid to tell the public they tested positive for the coronavirus.

The covid-19 which was first recorded in December 2019 in Wuhan, China is associated with some common symptoms such as fever, dry cough, and tiredness but some public figures like Idris Elba disclosed he tested positive despite showing no symptoms.

According to World Health Organization, some patients may have mild symptoms including aches and pains, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat or diarrhea.

However, some  people become infected but don’t develop any symptoms and don’t feel unwell.

And about 80% recover from the disease without needing special treatment. Around 1 out of every 6 people who gets COVID-19 becomes seriously ill and develops difficulty breathing. Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like high blood pressure, heart problems or diabetes, are more likely to develop serious illness.

Touching on her beliefs in an Instagram live video over the weekend, the rapper believes some of these celebrities are making it up.

“…But then I be seeing these basketball players say like, ‘Yeah, I have the coronavirus, but I don’t got no symptoms.’ So how the fuck am I supposed to know when I’m supposed to get tested for it? Y’all ni**as is playing with me. That’s my problem right there.”

“I’m starting to feel like y’all ni**as is paying ni**as to say that they got it,”

The ‘Money’ rapper whose video has been remixed and continues to trend after she expressed her fear of the reality of the pandemic says she would not mind being paid to also tell the public she tested positive for the covid-19.

“And if y’all are paying ni**as to say that they got it, pay me too”

“B**ch tryna get paid.”she added.

Aside from Idris Elba, his wife, Sabrina Dhowre, Games of Thrones star , Kristofer Hivju, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant have all come out to state they tested positive for the coronavirus.

In the meantime, her video ‘coronavirus’ became a viral sensation after it was remixed by DJ iMarkkeyz and turned into a song has made it to the Billboard charts.
