Actress, Efia Odo has listed the number of things she believes could help prevent the spread of the covid-19 in Ghana.

Since recording the first two cases on March 12, the president and health ministry laid down some directives to contain the disease and avoid spread.

Although the number of cases increased since then and Ghana has moved from imported cases to community spread, the president continues to emphasize on taking precautionary measures seriously.

In his previous address to the nation, he noted a number of steps being taken at the government level including a mandatory fasting and prayers slated for this Wednesday, a mandatory quarantine for travelers coming into the country, the procurement of more test kits that will soon arrive in the country.

Among other things, he advised the public to avoid unnecessary body contacts, use alcohol based hand sanitizers, practice social distance, adding that “our survival is in our own hands”.

However, it seems social distancing is one of the directives that is ignored.

People are still going about their usual  activities, clubbing and going to the beach as if nothing was amidst.

Taking to twitter to list a number things , Efia said Ghanaians must be persuaded to stay at home.

She added that the right thing could be done through appeals.

“Ghanaians must be persuaded to stay home. A system must be put in place to isolate the infected and care for them outside. The productions of masks and ventilators must be accelerated, and testing problems must be resolved. you can appeal to people to do the right thing,” she tweeted.
