Hip Hop artiste, Pappy Kojo has said Ghanaians do not look like they care about the coronavirus pandemic.
The ‘Aye Late’ singer who is stuck in Italy for weeks due to the pandemic, noted that the increasing number of cases being recorded every 24 hours in Italy is because they did not take the disease seriously and acted accordingly from the onset.
He stated that Ghanaians are making the same mistake although the country recorded 24 cases and 1 death as of yesterday.
Speaking to Deborah Vanessa in an Instagram live video last night, he admitted that he is scared for himself and Ghana even though he is taking precautionary measures seriously.
He stated that the situation in Italy is so serious that every five minutes, the ambulance service is required to attend to a covid-19 patient.
“I don’t think Ghanaians really care. If you’re on Ghana Twitter, I don’t think Ghanaians are really serious about it. It was like that here (Italy) in the beginning. Ghanaians here didn’t take it seriously [sic]. It’s gotten serious. Where I am now ambulances pass by every 5 minutes. It’s very serious,” he said.
Touching on social distancing, he disclosed he does not go out and that he has resorted to ordering food online which he gets by delivery, adding that he takes time to disinfect the package before touching.
“I don’t go out at all,” he noted.
