The government has confirmed 25 new cases of Covid-19 in Ghana.
This raises the number from 27 to 52 confirmed cases in the country.
Addressing the nation in a brief on March 25, 2020, the Minister of Health, Kweku Agyeman Manu who made the announcement said other tests are yet to be done.
He explained that 1030 people were put under mandatory quarantine after arriving at the Kotoka International Airport hours to the deadline for the closure of the country’s borders from which 611 were tested, 185 results came in out of which the 25 new cases were confirmed.
Ghana’s first two cases were recorded on March 12 2020 and S at now the epicenters are Accra and Kumasi.
So far two deaths have been recorded with no recovery.
The public is advised to take precautionary measures seriously; wash hands with soap under running water, use alcohol based sanitizer, avoid touching face and practice social distancing.
