Comic actor Mmebusem has debunked claims that he spoke against the mass market disinfection that took place in Accra yesterday.
The exercise saw the disinfection of 137 markets in the capital city and will be extended to all other parts of the country in attempt to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
A Twitter account in his name with a large following of 21.1k condemned the exercise saying the virus is no mosquito to killed by disinfection.
Another tweet from the same handle asked why the country is not in a lockdown and that the market women will go back to reinfect the market today.
“We are disinfecting our Market Places, fine! Is the whole city locked down? NO! So meaning tomorrow our market women will go and reinfect the Market again. Ghana when.”

According to him, he and his team knew of this fake Twitter account but did not take it seriously since the account was only reproducing what they shared to his Facebook and YouTube which he explains are managed by his team.
He urged the public to disregard any information from any twitter account with his image .
