Burna Boy has finally disclosed his real reactions to losing the recent Grammys to Angelique Kidjo in the category in which he was nominated.
Both artistes who are globally recognized with good music were nominated in the Best World Music Album category at the 2020 Grammys but Angelique Kidjo beat Burna to it.
In her thanksgiving speech, she dedicated the award to Burna Boy.
It has been months since the awards and it was laid to rest until a fan brought it up during a question and answer session on Twitter.
The tweep asked how he felt losing the award and he replied “Sick. Totally sick”.
He added, however, that Angelique schooled him on how the award scheme works so he is now enlightened.
He also used the opportunity to announce his new album, “Twice as Tall” which will be released in July this year “the grace of the most High.”
