Actress Jackie Appiah has made donations of items to women in some parts of Accra to help them protect themselves from the coronavirus.
The president declared a partial lockdown on Accra, Tema, Kumasi and Kasoa which took effect at 1am Monday March 30 2020.
Before the lockdown, the actress visited women at Texpo Market, Spintex, Accra bearing gifts.
Not only did she give them items, she also educated them on the pandemic; how it spreads and how to take good care of themselves against contracting the disease.
She urged people to show kindness in these times adding that the pandemic turned the world upside down.
Taking to her Instagram page , she shared a video from the exercise and captioned : “As an actress I make it a point to always give back to society in one way or the other. The coronavirus outbreak (Covid-19) has taken the world by surprise and it’s almost like the entire world is upside down so a little act of kindness is expected of every citizen of the world. This took place a few days before the lockdown.”
