Highlife artiste is not happy about the addition of Zapp Mallet to the list of Ghanaian producer in the ongoing producer wars.
A trend which started on Twitter is challenging pairs of music producers to list hits of songs they have produced.
Sarkodie even tweeted, asking producers such as, Zapp Mallet, Jay Q, Appietus; Kaywa, Hammer and MoG to take part in the producer wars.
But it looks like Sarkodie’s list did not go down well with some people.
‘Yebewu Nti’ hit maker, Dada Hafco posted on his Facebook timeline:
“Zapp mallet shouldn’t even be in the conversation, he’s millions of Miles above it.
Is like trying to compare a producer of today to Uncle Fred Kyei Mensah, Disrespectful.
He trained your favorite producer’s favourite producer’s boss, they opened the floodgates for all these to be happening on these streets
Even a lot of the names being mentioned today cant be compared to Willie Roy of blessed memory
Learn your history and take a chill pill.”
Earlier, the celebrated music producer Zapp Mallet tweeted: “There is something called respect which is lacking in Ghana today. For instance you don’t compare somebody who was churning out hits before you made Kindergarten with your mate who just started a couple of years back. Show some respect. You will also get there.”
In the meantime, Appietus and Jay Q did their battle yesterday.
