King of Accra, one of the early producers who worked with Sarkodie has opened up on stories surrounding his relationship with the ‘Highest’ rapper.

King of Accra, who a few days ago made a string of tweets to address ills of the music industry, highlighted how ungrateful some artistes have been to him.

He said the artistes he has worked with in the past, including Sarkodie, only gave him a pittance and did not even bothered to make him shareholder of the song after they had raked in revenue from sales.

According to King of Accra who produced songs like ‘The Game’, ‘Daabi’, You Already Know’ for Sarkodie, the only thing he got from Sarkodie was GHc 50.

Even though he claims he does not have any ill feelings for Sarkodie, he believes that artistes and producers must come to an agreement on how to make their contributions in the song making process benefit each other.

He said music producers are major stakeholders of songs they have produced for artistes and must be paid royalties for their work.

He also noted that after producing ‘You Already Know’, he still sends him beats but he does not use them.

King of Accra also worked on songs by Samini and Ponobiom in the past.
