Ghanaian music producer has revealed that he was the first to have produced crunk music in Ghana.
This statement defeats the generally held conception that Richie Mensah is the originator of crunk music in Ghana.
Speaking to Ola Michael on Neat FM, Kaywa said he was the first to record a crunk song in Ghana.
“I was the first to play crunk music in Ghana…’Hot Girls Dot Com,” he noted.
He was talking about the ongoing #BehindTheHitz challenge and how challenging trends have become an integral part of music production in Ghana.
Some popular crunk songs are ‘Woso’ by Okyeame Kwame, ‘Gimme Blow’ by Asem, ‘Chalewote’ by OJ Blaq, among others.
