Ghanaian singer, Knii Lante has said it is high the country put scientific research centers to good use and stop depending on others for medical benefits.
Knii Lante who is also a Medical Doctor said this while answering Antoine Mensah’s question on Live FM concerning how the Covid-19 has affected his music plans, and why Ghana is not considering alternative mechanisms like traditional medicine in dealing with the pandemic.
“We have a Center for Scientific Research(CSIR) and I think we are underutilizing the center and we might have so many treasures which could help in the medical field in terms of pharmaceuticals and all that. I think this is going to be a wake-up call for us to try and develop our own things and stop relying on others” adding that “the Chinese people used Traditional medicine against this Covid-19, you know. It’s called TCM so you can read it up. So they(Chinese) didn’t shy away from it.”
He however urged the public to take precautionary measures seriously to stay safe.
