Music beat producer Magnom has opened up on his experience as a producer on the talent scout show, MTN Hitmaker.
According to him, a large number of rappers who rapped in Twi did one style “Talking about unrealistic “cartoonish” things.”
He added that most of the things they said made no sense that they still said them anyway and he wonders where they learnt their way of rapping.
Magnom who has been on the Hitmaker show for four years said these in a series of tweets where he complained about the kind of rappers in the industry.
“Some kind punchlines that they couldn’t even explain, Some kind metaphors . Some stories wey no dey connect.. References to their “widap”. “Me widap ay3 sei.. ”, “Me widap ay3 saa.. “, “me na me tumi widapi…. ” aah why? I wondered ” he tweeted adding that he became used to the lines to the extent that the moment they start to rap, he could tell what they were going to say.
