The coronavirus pandemic has seen a lot of individuals, groups, and organisations lend a hand to the underprivileged in society.
The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture led by Barbara Oteng Gyasi, has also donated some items to a number of creative artists.
Accompanied by President of the Creative Arts Council, Mark Okraku-Mantey and the Executive Secretary of National Film Authority, Juliet Yaa Asantewaa Asante, they presented some food items to about thirty filmmakers who are currently in deprived situations.
According to Juliet Asante, Executive Secretary of National Film Authority the donations were made to movie icons who contributed immensely to the movie industry when they were actively involved in film making, kasapafmonline.com report says.
Beneficiaries of the donation are Emmanuel Armah, King Aboagye Brenya, Twumasi, Opoku Godfred, Gifty Doe, Madam Grace Nortey, Grace Omaboe, Kojo Dadson, Fred Amugi, Dzifa Glikpoe, William Addo, Kofi Laing, William Opare, Paa George, among others.
In the meantime, a survey is being conducted by the Creative Arts Council to determine how much the creative sector will lose from the scourge of coronavirus.
