COVID-19 Virtual Concert airs today and artistes billed to perform include Shatta Wale, Fancy Gadam, Kuami Eugene, Diana Asamoah Great Ampong, Dada KD and Kaakyire Kwame Appiah.
The virtual concert put together by the Ministry of Communications is a side attraction to the launch of a new App that will help in contact tracing people who have come into contact with COVID-19 positive individuals will be aired on Citi TV, UTV, Joy Prime, Joy News, GTV, TV3, GhOne TV, YouTube and Facebook Live between 4 pm and 7 pm.
The host of Peace FM’s morning show, Kwami Sefa-Kayi will be the emcee for the concert.
The user friendly and free to download mobile software application which will be available for Android and iOS devices after its launch is originally intended for productivity assistance which will supplement the state’s efforts in the fight against the pandemic.
According to the experts, the software will trace anyone who has come into contact with persons carrying the COVID -19 virus.
Persons will also be trained by the experts to be able to find their way around the App and give an insight on who can use it.
