The minister of communication and MP for Ablekuma West Constituency, Ursula Owusu has urged citizens who have been advised to self isolate themselves to curb the spread of the coronavirus to respect the rules.
She said this today at the virtual launch of the COVID-19 tracker that she noted to have features of telling who is positive, point to the contacts the individual has made, how seriously they are abiding by the self-quarantine measure, among other things.
Recounting the features of the App, she explained it could tell if the individual is complying with the rules of self-quarantine.
“Unfortunately not all of them are following the self-isolation guidelines and some are behaving as if we’re in normal times and are going out and hanging out with friends and possibly infecting those as well. All the measures that have been put in place are for our own good and we really ought to respect them if we are to have our collective peace of mind.”
She also used the opportunity for the opportunity to advise that people stay at home if they have no business in town.
