Ghanaian actress and producer, Yvonne Nelson does not trust aid Ghana is getting from China in the combat against coronavirus.
Citing the issue of indiscriminate mining that has caused some parts of Ghana good drinking water and forestry, the actress believes “the Aid Africa is getting isn’t for free. We will pay for it later.”
The Jack Ma Foundation and the Alibaba Foundation has contributed PPE to some African countries including Ghana towards the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The Asian billionaire donated items worth 38,000 personal protective equipment (PPE), test kits and other medical materials which were distributed to the beneficiary countries through Ethiopia Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
According to her in a series of tweets, “they will come and mine and mine and mine and mine and leave us hollow.”
