Ghanaian artiste D-Black has joined the agenda to bring back the ‘Azonto’ culture with two new songs.
The azonto music which came with stylish dance moves was largely recognized with Ghana in the past years.
Although new trends have taken over and it seems to have been forgotten, some songs still have the ‘azonto-like’ rhythm.
Rapper Sarkodie after his ‘Behind Da Hitz’ trend on social media which allowed producers to compete against each other as well as showcase their hit songs has started a new trend.
Sarkodie on Twitter has asked artistes to record their azonto verse on his ‘FaHookiMe’ instrumental.
So far, EL, DopeNation, Strongman, GuiltyBeatz, DJ Breezy, Pappy have given positive responses to the idea.
Joining in, the ‘Vera’ singer is recording two songs on the instrumental.
“Ok!!! 2 jams loading !!! #BringBackAzonto,” D Black tweeted.
