The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu turns 101 today and goodwill messages have been pouring in since morning.
Amongst the senders of goodwill messages is dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale.
In his social media posts to Facebook and Twitter, he shared Imama’s picture and wish him a long life.
He asked for Allah’s blessings on him for his “exemplary leadership” adding that “Shatta Movement and Ghana Flag of Ghana is very grateful for your wisdom and peaceful persona.”

Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu born on April 23, 1919, is an Islamic cleric, Chief Imam of Ghana, and the Grand Mufti of the Republic of Ghana, a member of the National Peace Council and founder of The SONSETFund and IPASEC. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu was born to Sheikh Imam Nuhu Sharubutu and Hajja Ayishatu Abbass at Accra cow-lane.
