For many people, releasing his ‘MoMo’ song the same day Stonebwoy released his ‘Anloga Junction’ album shows that Kelvynboy wants to compete Stonebwoy.
Kelvynboy who left Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group last year, has overly been perceived as one who has issues with his former boss, hence the portrayal of some acts that reek of an attempt to rival Stonebwoy.
But according to Kelyvynboy who appeared on Sammy Flex’s online TV show, Showbiz Daily, he is not in competition with Stonebwoy.
He only decided not to postpone the release of the song but to bring it out on the same day (April 24, 2020), so as to prove a point.
“I understand the fact that people wanted me to postpone it but I wanted to make that mark. If this guy is putting in this works, you won’t sit down and say let him do so you do yours later. That day I posted his album and tweeted it as well,” he said.
He further stated he posted a lot of songs from other people and there were also a lot of song releases across the world so that could not overshadow his song.
Most importantly, he noted that Apple Music had already given him the same date for the release and couldn’t have changed it.
“That’s the date Apple Music actually gave us randomly,” he said.
‘MoMo’ which features Darkovibes and Mugeez of R2Bees fame has 67,441 views on YouTube as of press time.
