Musician Wanlov has stated that he did not receive any writ of summons to appear in court on claims and accusations levelled against the co-founder of Chalewote Street Art Festival, Nii Mantse Aryeequaye.

Last year, the ex-girlfriend of Nii Mantse, Dr Sionne Rameah Neely, accused him of abusing her.

She even added in a write-up, that the Chalewote Festival CEO threatened to kill her.

After the issue surfaced on Twitter, Wanlov Kuborlor commented on it and went ahead to call Mantse a woman beater, he claimed Mantse sent the police after him while he was out of the country.

“Panji just called to let me know that the woman beater/sexual predator/opaque CEO Mantse Nii Aryeequaye of Chale Wote sent Ghana Police to his house to look for me because I said things about Mantse the criminal that the victim herself has come out to say. I dey go Yerevan come. U stupid idiot. Instead of stepping down & apologizing, u wan turn fascist shut we all down? All your companies die finish! Cretin like your type,” Wanlov wrote as a caption to a video he posted to Instagram.

However, Nii Mantse came out with a long statement to deny the allegations leveled against him and asked that the accusers substantiate their allegations.

A tweet by an account name @ABYalley on May 5, 2020, published a writ was served to Wanlov to appear in court to prove his allegations but he failed to show up.

The writ was issued on 31st October 2019 and the ultimatum was given was eight days.

“Wanlov and his people slandered Mantse so much on Twitter saaa, he instituted an action against you, now a good opportunity to go prove your allegations in court was presented you, he’s never even been to court! People love to ride on emotions and zero facts!” the account tweeted this with the writ.

In the comment on the post, Wanlov stated that he has not been running like is said and that he has not been served any summon.

“Ma guy by law nothing has been presented to me! u are just giving us more opportunity to show more people who mantse is while sacrificing your reputations whatever dey wer,” Wanlov replied.
