Social media sensation, AY Poyoo has said some people are criticising his art because their businesses are suffering at the mercy of the coronavirus pandemic.
The rapper who calls himself the face of Gh rap noted that although not everyone will be interested in his style or craft, some of the blame can be apportioned to the pandemic.
Speaking in an interview on gossip 24, he noted that the coronavirus has been some kind of blessing to him since he used the quarantine period in Ghana to launch his rap career, as well as help people, forget their worries.
Touching on the criticisms he said because businesses have been affected, people are hungry which makes it difficult for them to appreciate his art.
“Those who are criticizing me, it’s because they don’t have an interest in what I’m doing and the coronavirus has made their businesses go down, they’re hungry. If you’re hungry you can’t look at me and laugh”.
