There has been a back and forth lyrical beef between some females in the industry.
Rapper Freda Rhymz has stated that jumping on the beef she was not initially invited to has given her attention.
According to her, the coronavirus pandemic made her do it.
She said she had to entertain her fans while addressing colleague rappers because the pandemic has made the industry inactive for some time now.
“It’s entertainment; corona, lockdown, things are slow so I just felt like I should just do something on a beat to entertain my fans and at the same talk to certain people in the industry,” she told Nana Ama McBrown on United Showbiz last night.
She pointed that she has been rapping and going about her act for a while but does not get the needed attention, thanks to the pandemic and the channel she used which is beef, she has grabbed the attention of everyone.
When Nana Ama McBrown asked for clarification on corona being the motivation, she replied, “Before corona, I was talking to the fans but they barely listen but then the corona and the lockdown and the channel I used has made it possible that people listen to me a lot.”
Freda released KMT after Sista Afia released WMT which was not specifically directed at anyone. But the KMT sent shots at Sista Afia.
After KMT, Freda released Point of Correction which attacked Sista Afia and Eno Barony.
Explaining why she jumped on the wave although her name was not mentioned from the start, she said,” I’m an entertainer if someone does something in the industry and I want to say something about it, I believe I have every right. everybody is entitled to their opinion.”
“Also, I just needed to entertain my fans so whether or not my name was mentioned, I was doing my work as an entertainer,” she added.
