Ghanaian artistes, Stonebwoy and M.anifest are to perform among other big African artiste lined up for Africa Day celebration.
The ‘Africa Day Benefit Concert at Home’, a partnership with music channel, MTV Base Africa, and YouTube will last 2 hours on Monday, May 25.
There will be performances by acts including Benin’s Angelique Kidjo, Kenya’s Sauti Sol, South Africa’s Sho Madjozi, and Nigeria’s Burna Boy, Teni, Tiwa Savage, Rema, Yemi Alade as well as South African comedian Trevor Noah, reigning Miss Universe, Zozibini Tunzi, and rapper Sean Paul, among others.

According to actor and musician, Idris Elba who is the host, the concert is to “raise funds for those impacted by Covid-19.”

A statement from YouTube and ViacomCBS Network Africa (creators of MTV) said the funds raised from the concert will go to UNICEF and the World Food Program who are aiding coronavirus-affected communities across Africa.
