Rapper Lousika has said it is disrespectful for Freda Rhymz to claim that apart from herself she knows only Eno Barony as the rappers in the industry.
She believes before coming on the scene, every artiste does some sort of homework and that Freda knows there were people before her, adding that even if she said that to brag, “we don’t just brag like that. It’s off-limit.”
In an interview with NYDJ, she mentioned a number of females who are into rap and should be given the due credit.
When the host asked her if she feels disrespected by the comment, Lousika noted that “In a way I do.”
“We have a lot of people that are pushing and you just come, you haven’t had no struggle, I don’t know what the type of struggle you’re dealing with but you cannot just come and discredit everyone.
“It’s total disrespect and I don’t know how the other females feel about it.”
Touching on when she was an active rapper, she said her songs were usually rejected because she went too hard on the rap and more singing would have been prefered.
Listing the rappers in her days, the ‘Opampam’ singer stated that Feli Nuna, Eazzy, Tifanny, “all brought something special to the game”
Over the weekend, Freda mentioned on UTV that she knows only two female rappers in Ghana which is herself and Eno.
The comment made rapper Ohemaa Dadao pull up a private Instagram conversation she had with Freda Rhymz some years ago.
Per the chat, Freda was full of admiration for Ohemaa and even added that she is looking up to her.
