Ghanaian recording artiste, Samini has disclosed that he would be releasing a new album next year.
Although he did not say in certain terms for the album, he noted that he will be releasing an EP which is a compilation of Afrobeat songs he recorded for some time past.
The EP he said will be released sometime this year.
Speaking to Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, he explained that the reason he is almost inactive is that “sometimes you have to let the system fallow” adding that that gives fans enough time to consume his recent 22 track album, Untamed.
“I have a lot of tracks that I recorded that I put aside because I was doing the reggae album; a lot of Afrobeat flavours that I would put together and drop an EP before this year goes just so that I don’t sit on songs for too long,” he disclosed.
“And hopefully, next year we should have an album because, from 2018, it’s only nice that we have another one,” he added.
Meanwhile, he is set to play a virtual concert with his band in Canada where he has been stuck since borders were closed.
The Untamed Virtual concert would be streamed on his YouTube channel, Saturday, May 30 2020, 8 PM Ghana time.
He promised to play within an allotted time of two hours and so has asked fans to subscribe and watch while practising all safety measures.
