Reggae artiste, AK Songstress has fired back at critics who found her comment about churches opening offensive.
In the president’s tenth address to the nation on progress made since the coronavirus outbreak in Ghana in March, gave out some directives and permitted churches to open.
Final year students are also to resume school while the number of people to be present at funerals and weddings has been increased to a maximum of 100.
However, the ban is yet to be lifted for clubs and other outdoor events to return in earnest.
In a tweet, AK registered her concern saying, “Opening churches while still closing businesses, which contributes to the growth of the economy can’t think far. African problem.”
But her comment was not taken well by some people.
In a new tweet, she described those who did not agree with her as people with “birdseed brains” who do not see “beyond Makola”.
She also noted that booked shows have been cancelled all due to the pandemic and ban on public gathering.
“I complained abt churches being opened n businesses shut down n birdseed brains, not deep enough to see beyond “makola” are asking….”which” businesses are shut down? The club owners are still paying rent but not operating. Booked shows cancelled n u say wetin? Mtweeeeeee,”she twitted.
