The emerging artiste, Dzidu is out with a new tune about love and commitment, titled ‘Ablavi’.
‘Ablavi’ is a highlife tune sung in Ewe on which JJ Gonami is featured.
Dzidu is a young artiste whose interest in music started growing at the age of eight. He expressed the talent in drumming at the time but officially identified as a musician 6 years ago.
In an interview with Ghana Weekend, he noted that he would rather be identified as a musician than be limited to a genre.
“I love to call myself a musician and not to be put in a box. I believe I’m versatile and can do all genre,” he said.
Although he does not want to be limited, he is experimenting in all fields and has come up with a new genre of his own.
“But then, I have a new genre to myself which I’m still putting together- Afrodition. It is a fusion of Afropop vibe with traditional music (agbadza),” he stated.
Before now, Dzidu has a popular song, ‘Dinava’which has gained so many views on Youtube. He also has ‘Neho’ and ‘Edey Jorm’ to his name.
