Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has stated that Ghana has only two dancehall artistes.
According to him, apart from himself and Stonebwoy, no other artiste recognized with the genre is a dancehall artiste.
He noted that all other artistes are all about speaking patois and that although it is his wish that they all become great, they are not pushing the business aspect of the music.
He said this in an interview on Hitz FM with Lagazee, noting that if the other artistes will support each other and learn from how he has made peace with all the artistes he had beef with in the past, the industry would flourish.
“In Ghana, we only have two dancehall artistes; me and Stonebwoy, finish. Nobody should come and even say he’s a dancehall artiste. I’ll punch him,” he stated.
He advised that the other artistes on the genre do commercial songs and make money, adding that he is willing to lend helping hand if they will listen to him.
